For this sleepy Independent songwriter things started to build momentum with the YouTube release of a reworked Australian classic Down Under (Men At Work). While Nick had begun to steadily collect fans through his frequent street performances in the iconic Australian surf town of Byron Bay, This release gave him a broad range of new fans nation wide eagerly awaiting the release of his own music. While he set out on what would become his debut EP, He worked in the studio with the likes of Grant Gerathy (John Butler Trio), Scott Owen (The Living End) and Engineer / Co producer Jordan Power (Angus Stone, Dope Lemon, Xavier Rudd).
The release of his debut EP Letters saw him enter the ITunes charts at number 40 and reach number 2 in the singer songwriter charts. From here he hit the road steadily building his fan base throughout Australia. His relaxed style translated well into acoustic shows in venues ranging from traditional music spaces to record stores and wine cellars.
Continuing to base himself in Byron Bay where he was performing on the streets in between touring lead him to meet and gain backing from American actor Kellan Lutz (Twilight, Hercules, Tarzan) which saw Nick spend 2016 recording his second EP “In Between”. This went on to feature in the top 10 of the ITunes singer songwriter charts and took him on his largest tour to date of Australia and New Zealand.
Online he has made appearances playing for the likes of Tram Sessions and Sofar Sounds as well as having already performed on stages at some of Australia’s most prestigious festivals including the Byron Bay Blues and Roots, Splendour in the Grass and Falls Festival.
With two EP’s to his name, Nick has been finding his feet and settling into his style while he works on his debut album set to be released in 2019.
